Gamesnarutovsonepiece

The Gilles-Eric Séralini brave faces transgenic industry and win.

A very scientific renowned for his research on the risks of GM just won a lawsuit against associations biotechnology that had triggered a campaign to discredit him.

Séralini Gilles-Eric, a professor of molecular biology in the Universidadde Caen and president of the Independent Scientific Research Genetic Engineering (CRIIGEN) is a leading researcher line about the risks of GMOs.

There is little surprise that he and his team became the target of a concerted smear campaign in which were very active Monsanto, EFSA (the Food Safety Authority Europe), and scientific associations representing biotechnology in France, the French Association of Biotechnology Companies and the French High Council on Biotechnology.

This attack was triggered after the team made carefully coordinated by Séralini information available Monsanto had occasion to obtain marketing approval in Europe of three lines of transgenic maize , MON 863, 810 and NK603, permits on which the said EFSA had given its assent.

The equipment in question published its conclusions stating that "the available data reveal hepatorenal toxicity, possibly because of new pesticides specifically designed for each transgenic maize.

Added to this are observed metabolic consequences directly or indirectly caused , for which genetic modification can not be excluded. "

Séralini and colleagues received broad support from scientists and from civil society.

But Séralini decided to sue for libel : he was convinced that the researchers Claude Allegre, Axel Kahn and Marc Fellous, were driving from the shadows of malice and intimidation campaign that unfolded in France and that was the reason for suing judicially Fellous, full member of the French Association of Biotechnology Companies (AFBV). Séralini argued that the campaign had damaged his reputation and it had decreased their employment opportunities and their ability to raise funds for research.

Jan. 18 the trial court ruled Paris and did so for Séralini, amid a widespread surprise.
During the trial came to light that Fellous, who presented himself as a scientist "neutral" without personal interests at stake and accusing those who criticize or object to GM products to be "ideological" and "militants" , really had patents of genetically modified, owned, through a firm legal basis Israel.

This company sells patents to transnational corporations such as Aventis .

Séralini
attorney showed that several other members of the AFBV also have close links with companies deagribusines s, so that their claimed scientific impartiality and professional integrity were much under the microscope.

AFBV The judge sentenced to a fine of one thousand euros, a euro compensation claim from the applicant and 4000 euros in costs.
Corinne Lepage, president of CRIIGEN, was thrilled with the victory, especially since it was not very optimistic about the result after the first meeting that had taken on 23 November [info Argentina in particular and probably Latin America in general: 2010; n. trad.].

"Life gives you surprises: the first time a troublemaker (informer) [whistleblower] is not defensive but offensive."

Commenting on legal victory, Pete Riley UK organization's GM Freeze ["Freeze" GMOs in the United Kingdom permanently suspend] said: "I welcome warmly this trial and we are delighted with Professor Séralini. Hopefully now we start to see an end to this type of dirty campaigning we've seen empty in this case and others in the last decade or so. The freedom of independent scientists to challenge scientific findings funded by an industry that seeks to sell seeds and chemicals are a vital element in any society. The history of technological disasters tells us that the industry and state regulators are the last to recognize or admit that there is a problem. We fully support the right of Séralini to continue its research on genetically modified seeds and wish more empowered. "

The doctor Brian John of FM-Free Cymru said:" This is a rewarding outcome than a case ever should have been raised if the industrial biotecncología had followed the longstanding traditions of respect for researchers and have accepted honest discussions with academics whose views and research findings do not match their own industry.

years ago, the biotechnology industry and its apologists have had a loose tongue to slander and intimidate those who have had the temerity to question the safety of GM products ... some big shots scholars working for the biotech industry have behaved more like thugs [members a sect of India, the killings attributed to him by fanaticism] than scientists. His philosophy has always been: 'shoot the messenger. " The casualty list is long: Arpad Pusztai, Ignacio Chapela and David Quist, Irina Ermakova, Judy Carman, Manuela Malatesta, Andres Carrasco and many others.

"We congratulate Professor Séralini for having the courage to stand up to the campaign and have returned the blow. Hopefully your success will make transnational biotechnology companies and government regulators will grant to independent researchers the respect they deserve. "
And most importantly, our regulators pay close attention to the findings of Séralini and those independent scientists around the world struggle against surreptitious persistently GM food on people.

was an ad several years ago. Incitement to terrorism exercised, that if, on some kind of insect, cockroach or cojonera fly. "I think the ad whenever I hear someone complaining about the government, church, banking, everything that affect the economic life of the citizens, however rare they are those who lament the decline of cultural life, ethics, human degradation.
-holding practice, the complaint resigned, implying the gossip and submissive acceptance of the facts, if any curses accompanied by the media who signaled as the only culprits, so common to the alienated people formed and brutalized by the media, especially television, I guess cause hilarity and satisfaction is not contained, industrialists and merchants, clergy, judges, politicians. The Church, the most wise and long-lived institution the powers that rule the world, preaching meekness, submissive resignation to ensure eternal life, why should it suffer in the earthly (not them, of course). Cynicism, demagoguery, political and moral misery to maintain exploitation of man by man, but by the dominant powers, unusual language nowadays even for organizations that call themselves leftists.
why we should learn from the ads, do not forget that advertising is the messenger of God, ie the market, which now governs our lives. And look for special cleansers to not continue the charade.

counterrevolutionary There is nothing more harmful to the development of the peoples who practice year after year, century after century, cults, not only religious, but the holidays. Customs that are inherited from ancient times, and repeat for escape everyday problems that plague, chain to humans. The festivities are marked cultural habits which UNCEN organizers and practitioners sometimes for an entire year, as essential to escape the work that binds them and explodes, not only economically but also culturally, in the days of his life. Celebration of the holy place, religious processions, carnival days, or the trading day of the mother, father, lovers, work, the flag, diseases, etc, etc. Many are the paths that lead to alienation, alienation, destruction of thought, also free. And these also help to prevent the regeneration of the political, cultural, social, with the necessary imaginative practice daily struggle. (An example: the issue of pensions: instead of striving to change the working conditions and regulations for a lifetime, is mounted around a circus if delayed one or two years of retirement, when there is hardly a breath weakened body to hasten their last breaths. It puts words emphasis on the misery that is the human being to exhaust its existence with a background that no longer seems charity towards developing non-exploitative conditions for what is his whole life).
The parties, particularly the institutional organization serving more harm there, churches are of God are, in our country the longest are the Christmas and Easter.
When humanity will learn to break free from their chains and human beings to think and organize leisure culture itself?.

Communism and Capitalism.

ALBERT EINSTEIN.

I think the worst damage done by capitalism is the deterioration of individuals. It instills in students an exaggerated competitive attitude, are educated in purchasing success in preparation for their future career. I am convinced that there is only one way to mastering these great evils, which passes through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system that is oriented toward social objectives (...) The achievement of socialism requires the solution of certain socio-political problems great difficulty from the fundamental centralization of political and economic power. How will prevent bureaucracy from becoming an entity omnipotent and arrogant? How can you protect individual rights in order to ensure a democratic counterweight to balance the power of the bureaucracy?
1944. Monthley Review. New York.

Communism Is he dead? should better ask: can die ideas or is his deification, his usurpation, its implementation and development of dogma that passeth away and dies? Can you die of laughter, tears, doubt, beauty, or are always on the verge of transformation? Have the extinction of the reasons that lead to the denunciation of corruption, exploitation of men and peoples, social inequality, war, torture, religion, fanaticism, unfair justice? That is the question, the debate is not today, misery for a lot of practice, and evil consequences which caused the political application of the concept communism. In 1927, Walter Benjamin, so often resorted to in these pages for consistency with Karl Kraus, wrote some thoughts about his stay in Moscow. He said inter alia:
WALTER BENJAMIN:

"European If the correlation of power and money infiltrate was reached in Russia, would not only lost the country, even the party, but directly to communism. People here still do not have European concepts of European consumption and consumer needs. But it is also possible that you are making a keen intention of the Match: come to equate the level of consumption in Western Europe has.
remember facing lines that led, shortly before World War II in the strain of thought and the strategy of communism agony of Lenin, Bukharin, NEP and Stalin on the one hand, control of absolute power, police state, persecution of any revolutionary idea and terror applied as a defense of the absolute power and anti-Marxist. He missed the communism in Russia. And its inhabitants, at least, emerged from the ashes of that common denominator, live on the uncontrolled, more voracious and corrupt even than capitalism, while most are limited in different degrees of poverty, to dream with him. Returning to the old story: haves and have-nots, despots and subjects.
orthodox communist parties and the party of the century is not reflected in their squalid programs but what makes Montaigne wrote no fewer than four centuries, reflecting the stagnation of ideas.

MONTAIGNE:

We assume a world already made and shaped in certain ways (...) Whatever way we can fix it and order it again, just can twist his habitual inclination without breaking everything. Solon asked if he had given the best laws that could be expected to Athenians: I think so, responded, of whom have admitted. "
In cities where the law of the ferocious capitalism, neoliberalism more exploitative, circulating thousands and thousands of citizens to their places of work, in subways, trains, cluttering their grips, foot, underground mood. I remember seeing a poem The Waste Land TS Eliot. They should read, in silence, the silence in which they live. He says some of his verses.

TS ELIOT.

Unreal City,
under the brown fog of a winter dawn.
A crowd flowed over London Bridge, so many
not thought death had undone so many.
exhaled sighs, short and infrequent.
And everyone had their eyes fixed on his feet.

and sang in the last embers of closed cases and thoughts about what from the school, parliaments, newspapers and pulpits were taught: "communism is dead, long live, long live the farm of capitalism. Marcusse

"The technical reason has been political reasons. In the technological medium of culture, politics, and economics come together in a pervasive system that eats or reject all the alternatives.
The Dimensional Man

"Not just a specific form of government or party rule makes it possible to totalitarianism, but also a specific system of production and distribution may well be compatible with a" plurality of parties, newspapers, countervailing powers " .
The more capable are the rulers to divide property consumption, more people will be linked strongly to the various government bureaucracies. (...) Under the repressive government of all, freedom can become a powerful instrument of domination. People recognize their goods. (...) The advanced industrial culture is in a specific sense, more ideological predecessor, while ideology is now in the production process itself.
Democratic Totalitarianism.

Jose Saramago.

At times I thought about the fact that I still communist. Of course I am and I can not imagine myself being anything else. But I've realized I needed to add something to that saying: I am a Communist, and I'm adding is that I am a libertarian communist.

RAYMOND WILLIAMS

The political aim of the new capitalism, and governments that support it, is clear. Is to conceal the real conflict, dissolving into a false political consensus, that of not building a true community of life and interests, but a false cordiality among all social groups. Political consensus is essential for the success of the new capitalism is, in essence, a handling policy, the policy of management of man and as such, profoundly undemocratic.

Views on Karl Kraus.

Juan Goytisolo.

To highlight poverty and the cacophony of political speeches, economic, advertising, or worse, "culturally correct" now invade us, just play them selectively, without any comment (.. .) Cannibalism of the copyist assimilates the universal language of idiocy, deconstructing through its most significant appointments. This procedure was elevated to the rank of masterpiece by writer Viennese Karl Kraus. Much of the work of Kraus the father of this famous aphorism: "In the beginning was the press, then the world" - is based precisely on the ideological appropriation of the discourse of others, in the manner of Cervantes ... and Flaubert. A literary company of the stature and quality of the author's The Last Days of Humanity shows, a posteriori, that the "foolishness" of Bouvard and Pecuchet was not unique, as they copied and treasured Kraus selected quotes a kind of jewelry box or drawer of monsters with a strategy that puts the racking ertainly the processes underlying the Folly, the commonplace and the "truths" universally accepted. Karl Kraus was unknowingly Flaubert, Cervantes and Flaubert was, even with knowledge of the facts. Kraus's work falls against the false currency of the avant

What are the most accurate newspaper reports in comparison with spooky accuracy with which Die Fackel exposes the legal facts, linguistic and political? Kraus
never fails to defend an opinion. As the view is that false subjectivity is inseparable from the person to put in circulation and in its quality merchandise.
The press is not a servant but as the event. So once again the instrument has slipped from our hands (...) The newspaper is an instrument of power who serves capitalism (...) If the high end not only degrades the newspaper, but also its means of that power that defeat will not have to wait for a new total humanity flourish (...) No other man was better honor silence. Karl Kraus dance the war dance before the mausoleum of the German language ... has become the guardian of the tomb and guard it there, night and day. There is no other place you have never defended with such skill, nor anyone else has been more lost ... What could be more desperate than his violent struggle against the press? (...) Who butt is already sentenced Kraus: there, in his mouth a name becomes a conviction.

postscript. Happy today Jiménez Losantos, Juan Manuel de Prada, Ussía Alfonso, Cesar Alonso de los Rios, Herman Terchst, Valentin Puig, Rosa Montero, Elvida Lindo, Isabel San Sebastián, Pío Moa, David Gistau, César Vidal, many more ... Our unfortunate historical present does not exist in the world of communication if Karl Kraus. And the torch is just trying to turn a dark night and thought unfree.

Carlos Taibo. Diagnosis of the crisis two

Within the left who want to resist is put forward two very different views regarding the status of the crisis that grips us by all parties. These two visions differ substantially when assessing the degree of corrosion of capitalism and do well when it comes to whether or not to critical relief to the environmental dimension of the crisis in question. As is easy to see, refer, in short, disparate perceptions regarding what are the main tasks that we undertake.

1. The first of these views - which I do mine - part of the certainty that capitalism, in a state of terminal corrosion, dramatically lost the emergency brakes in the past, and in some circumstances, allowed him to save face. Not only that: is no longer efficient system - the operator, unfair and exclusionary, yes, but time efficient - it was in the past. And is that what is at stake now is not just the scale of exploitation historically linked to the logic of capitalism: a dimension is added that the consequences of a system that always predatory and wasteful, has come to seriously injure the rights of future generations. So, the economic growth of our pathetic rulers claim is accompanied by a dramatic setback in social cohesion, environmental assaults without number, of active processes of resource depletion and unpublished formulas the ferocious exploitation of poor countries. All this is easy to see once it gives multiple meanings to the word 'crisis' and avoids the mechanical fast identification of this with the 'financial' to incorporate a serious consideration of phenomena such as climate change stabbing, the inevitable price increases in the prices of most raw materials we use energy, global deterioration of the condition of women or the further plundering of the human and material resources in the South.

being so, and if nothing changes, be prepared to which sooner or later - shirk the details, always sensitive as to the time of manifestation of the phenomenon - will be a drift towards authoritarianism, and desperate, as a sort of social Darwinism military. Is only appropriate then, on our side, and within this diagnosis, two answers. If the first states that we must fight for their leave of capitalism as such - not only of capitalism 'desregulado' - the second, more skeptical in regard to our capabilities, is inclined to expect a collapse causing a sudden enlightenment among much of the members of the human species. It is easy to see, of course, the latter horizon, with the collapse of the middle, raises outlook very delicate.

things as may be, those who embrace this first view considered inexcusable that any program of emancipation openly question the order of capitalist property, claims the self-management, try to create new autonomous areas away from the dominant system, bet in the core countries on strategies and lead to decrease in short, the organization from the ground up with frank suspicion of what unfortunately is cooked under the most parties and unions, and pursuant to the elections and their plots.

2. The second of the vision - shared by the majority of parties and unions that I mentioned - from diagnosis seems inclined to see some vitality, yet, in capitalism this time. Under this perception, corrosion would be much lower, so it would make sense to bet on a return to status quo before the crisis. This would, in other words, to reconstruct, in the rich world, the many elements of welfare states under attack in recent years / decades. In this sense and see things as they see them, it seems difficult to describe this project without linking expressly with what they have always been of social proposals accordingly. And that if they provide, at a time when the weather starts to cut, so polite attention as skeptical of the idea that the reconstruction of welfare states would be only a first step towards more ambitious path of horizons.

I fear that - as opposed to unsubstantiated accusations of radicalism that commonly receives the first of the visions, and annotated - the second collection, regardless of building a bridge of silver pathetic capitalism to reconsider and rectify it, is an illusory project ignores the reality of the moment present. And it is based on significant omissions. While the current system, on the one hand, seems unwilling to accept this return to the past, on the other welfare state is a formula clearly linked with capitalism and unthinkable, therefore, outside the latter. Should we bet in these conditions, as pathetic as a project which would aim to create new-style capitalists, suddenly civilized? Not worth emphasizing, moreover, that the welfare state is an institution's own wealthy North and, as such, it seems difficult to sustain a formula in a scene marked by the rule - I now strongly on ecological - that has embraced capitalism historically given to the task so proud ignore environmental limits and resources of the planet.

This second view seems, moreover, hampered by its noticeable distressingly shortsighted and electoral branches, and, where appropriate, for being a simple response, as inertial as moderate to attack. This would, in other words, to perform the task they have preferred to avoid, sunk in the magma neoliberal, socialist parties that have abandoned their primitive social programs. Is not necessary to add that, whatever the perception that concerns us assume all the game systems as long as the reappearance of the lost control, drag an atavistic disdain for anything that smells, really, out of capitalism and, at the time, wary of the program elements - questioning the order of existing property, self, creation of autonomous spaces, decrease, grassroots organization - which I linked a few lines back to the first of the visions. Behind the scenes what is an oblivion conjecture: that there is a serious risk that everything collapses when we place our attention on the welfare states and ignore the huge relief of the combination of ecological crisis and social exclusion.

3. Does anyone seriously think that limiting ourselves to fight to keep wages and employment will solve the major problems that beset us? Does anyone considers it to get a union speech left many years ago in the attic the word 'exploitation' and 'alienation'? Does anyone really think that makes perfect sense that sad task that economists seem given the official left no neoliberalized: to underline that there are ways to increase productivity that fail to reduce wages and pensions frozen, without discussing then the main thing, that is, own senselessness of these formidable scams are highly productive and with it, competitiveness and growth?

obsolescence - useless waste of effort, time and materials

Human slavery, more timely than ever.

"You have people working before resting:
to open and close ditches all day, so give them their jobs .... both need"

In the 60 and 70 are promised for 2000 a leisure society which would be enough work 3 or 4 days a week to solve all the needs of man and he could "be" in many activities - hobbies, crafts ... for personal development ..... QUALITY OF LIFE ...... but .. LEISURE

"THE BEST ENGINEERS IN THE SERVICE OF THE REDUCTION IN THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTS"

"What makes this country great (U.S. )-went on to say the manager of the advertising agency BBDO , One of the world's largest is the creation of needs and desires, creating dissatisfaction with the old and outdated ". I mean consume without limits ...

Long ago, consumer products are manufactured to last.

But by the 1920, a group of businessmen realized that the more lasting its products, they earned less money. and people spend less time buying.

And so was born what is called planned obsolescence , reduction deliberate taking of life of a product to increase consumption. Since then, manufacturers have designed their products to fail. Cosima
Dannoritzer
The director ("If you talk trash") echoes this documentary film one of the practices that have become the foundation of modern economics (many experts even believe that was a key role in ending the Great Depression.)

The production travels to France, Germany, Spain and the United States to investigate the economic obsolescence and presents alternatives to the difficulty of proceeding with the unlimited consumption of resources and time.

summary reflects documentary

Batteries
to 'die' at 18 months to be released, printers that are blocked on reaching a certain number of prints, lamps that melt a thousand hours ... Why, despite technological advances, l consumer products last you less and less?

Shot in Catalonia, France, Germany, USA and Ghana, Buy, shooting, shopping, a journey through the history of a business practice that involves the deliberate reduction in the life of a product to increase consumption because, as published in 1928 an influential U.S. magazine advertising, "an article that does not wear is a tragedy for business."

The documentary, is the result of three years of research have made use of little-known archival footage, offers exhibits and displays disastrous environmental consequences resulting from this practice . It also presents several examples of the spirit of resistance that is growing among consumers and includes the analysis and opinion of economists, designers and intellectuals who proposed alternative ways to save the environment and economics

In 1911 a English press ad highlighting the benefits of a brand of light bulbs with a certified life of 2500 hours. But as revealed in the documentary, in 1924 a cartel that brought together the main manufacturers in Europe and the United States negotiated to limit the lifetime of a light bulb at 1000 hours.

This cartel was called Phoebus and never officially Buy existed but, shoot, buy the paper shows us that is the starting point of obsolescence, which is now applied to next-generation electronic products such as printers and iPods, and that was also applied in the textile industry with consequent disappearance of the means to test runs. Consumer

rebels in the Internet age

Throughout the history of the scheduled expiration, the film also paints a fresco of the history of economics in the last hundred years and provides an interesting fact: the attitudinal change in consumers through the use of social networks and the Internet. The Neistat brothers case, the computer programmer or Catalan Vitaly Kiselev Marcos López, give a good account of it.

Africa, first world electronic landfill
disposable
This constant has serious environmental consequences. As we see in this research, countries like Ghana are becoming the first world electronic trash. To arrive there periodically hundreds of containers full of waste under the label of "second-hand material" and the umbrella of a contribution to bridging the digital divide and eventually taking the place of rivers or fields where children play.

L a blender, 'five', the toaster, "will hopefully three", the household appliance brands, "impossible to repair many times it is impossible to locate the part "... More arguments to make him desist from the repair.

Conrado Martinez, manager of repairs Servat, has in mind the duration of many products and lists with ease. Meanwhile, in Cuba, the same cars from the fifties Havana a traverse across decades.
Just touring the island to ensure that faults are not predetermined their destiny.
The term 'planned obsolescence' does not appear as an epigraph in any university, as Moses says Llord, professor at the University of Oviedo in History and Economic Institutions. Underground interest.

"It is a process which, precisely because nature, has not been fully exposed. Reduce time life is part of the strategy to manipulate consumption, without mentioning because influence the price , and therefore there is no research that has affected much with respect to the perspective of economic history " .
Where does appear implicitly reflected planned obsolescence, however, is treated in business and accounting. It is still another parameter to consider in the cost of a business: logistics, marginal cost, profit margin, and product life. When damaged, it will generate a new need known consumer and competition times. In fact, included in their sales strategies and advertising campaigns. It is likely that when the first iPads breakdown, RIM, with its Blackberry products, and other competitors, have ready your new and improved 'tablets', calculating the time to obsolescence of Apple. Students learn engineering and design, from the school, which determine the duration of the product is a basic requirement of the companies they work. Just as engineers from Philips in 1924 had to reduce hours of life of their bulbs, Apple had to score 18 months as the limit of operation of the first iPods.
Pathologies as modern as kleptomania or compulsive shopping does not really cease to be reflections of "the current lack of ideological systems. In between sociological problems associated with lack of ideals and goals clearly in people's lives. "
"We are subjects'
Dacio Alonso, president of the Consumers Union of Asturias:" the citizen is the sovereign of the market, but the subject " .

In this sense, adds that the consumer is mercy manufacturer who "is who has the financial capacity and broadcast messages, advertising, who has the upper hand in the end ".

" Remember that when you buy you are voting. "

Another type of control would which can be exercised by the public authorities, and in the case of the English state could have come from the hand of the Law of Guarantees, the result of the transposition in 2003 of a European Union directive. But "because of industry lobbyists "did not help to protect against such premature failure.

The minimum guarantee is dated in two years, but in reality until six months of any product is replaced almost automatic from there because the consumer is required to prove that there has been misuse .

Alonso believes that "a missed opportunity that the guarantee was just that, a way to force the manufacturer to fulfill its commitment to quality" enduring relationship with the client. And it could not be otherwise than not using highly reliable materials.

Although, as noted Jose Manuel Gayo, manager of North Appliances and engineer, "if you do washing as before, which lasted twenty-five, we could not pay the price today would cost a thousand euros a washing machine." Alonso confirms this thesis, but also states there enough evidence to sustain that can last over . Proof of what he says is, it claims, that you l manufacturers 'fought by not having to ensure their products three, four or seven years . "

Everything was' in six months' .
repair cost
... the best mixer was manufactured in Martorell Spain and now comes from China. Sell \u200b\u200bit for fifty euros, and labor costs and repair time seventeen. Not brought to account. "
Example of ink cartridges : "My theory is that the printer you the gift, you have a multifunction fifty euros.

Now, I know many cases in which, finished cartridge, the printer ran out and bought a new . The brands they know the business is in consumables. "
The economic advantage to get rid of an appliance that has broken out of warranty at this point seems indisputable, but many voices raised calling for his vision.

In developed countries , put increasing emphasis on recycling, but not seen what happens when an old washing machine is broken, even when you take your obsolete computer to the store to get rid of it with the best of intentions.

Danoritzer Cosima, in his documentary 'Buy, pull, buy', shows the devastating picture of a landfill refrigerators, dishwashers, laptops, all kinds of appliances, stacked in Ghana. Enter the African country under the label of second-hand goods.
This line expresses Caramés Gem, Head of Sustainability Asturian Quality Club, stating that "waste generation always has a cost, both economically and environmentally, so a key aspect is the analysis cycle of product life and thus take into account all the environmental impacts that are generated from within the product design to final disposal. " Littering is expensive, but not who produces it. And do not blame only the obsolescence scheduled allegedly imposed by the manufacturers. For Victor Rodriguez, Professor of History of Mass Communication at the University of Oviedo, planned obsolescence is the first pillar of the present growth society.
But the second, and not least, is advertising, "which makes us buy things we do not need, or do we buy a product because it has a particular brand." The third "would credit that n allows you to buy what you do not need with money we do not have."
The solutions are in the air. Either decrease, repair and do not pull, or perhaps adjust consumption to the real needs . Succumbing to obsolescence as an inevitable nuisance occurs regularly in your kitchen, at work, in your car, is not the only way. At least if we look at the currents of thought that are becoming increasingly relevant, especially online, where they have begun to emerge all proposals and forums against it.
Mobile short lifespan, printers that are damaged and can not be fixed (the fix is \u200b\u200bmore expensive to buy another), iPods are programmed to the battery dies within a year. We sell happiness through unlimited consumption and craving sick of no matter the ecological footprint of this waste. Posterity will not forgive us. Other generations left us cathedrals, we will no longer waste. For now, in the Third World. Although forbidden, there are all electronic waste. The Catch: send them as second-hand products. Most do not be repaired and are left in landfills. Buy, shooting, shopping. A philosophy, a disease, a form of stop wishing. Tic-tac, tic-tac. The time is just. No matter: buy another time.

It took 40 years to lose 19 positions and only another 10 to come down another 25 .

Among the causes of the collapse of his real life expectancy include obesity, smoking, alcoholism, poor nutrition, diseases cured evil, violence and other problems typical of countries with an index of worse human development.

And it is no longer taboo, even in major newspapers, including The New York Times or The Wall Street Journal , talking openly of decline of the country of Barack Obama, even in some cases to describe the situation as nothing less than "the collapse of American empire."

Various statistics, similar to those of life expectancy, confirm a seemingly unstoppable deterioration of the quality of life:

late 2009, the National Center for Health Statistics (National Center for Health Statistics) placed the country at number 30 or the world in infant mortality, one of the basic parameters development.

Newborns Americans die for reasons similar to those of adults, due to an inadequate way of life "poor" ( for details, see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/ pubmed/20361522? dopt = Abstract )

the number of infants, one of the leading causes of infant mortality is more than twice that of Finland.

But the bad thing is that if the United Nations agreed in general terms, and place to USA in place or 33, own calculations Central Intelligence Agency (CIA ) relegate to 46 or position, in any event, behind Cuba , located around 28 ° position, almost on par with Italy.

addition, all statistics or estimates for 2009 or 2010 were significantly worse s that only one or two decades ago and, despite the global crisis is a fact, no other country to register a so pronounced decline in indicators of quality of life.

does not need any study to see how the hours increased gradually work on everything from the 80s and at the same time the purchasing power was being lost at the same speed.

In school things are getting worse also :
American students rank number 27 or or between 33 OECD countries in terms of results in the humanities, and 22 or in science subjects. This means that to maintain leadership, and not just the prestigious Ivy League and the abundance of Nobel prizes, if the masses have a very poor education.

There are many statistics and reports speaking of a country that is tumbling rapidly in areas ranging from poor stability of the banking system (according to the World Economic Forum, competes with Venezuela at No. 100 or the world) to drastic reduction of public transport.

In cities and smaller towns to cope with the crisis deleted entire lines of buses and trains .

The research points to the stratospheric debt to affirm the need ( sic) to reduce the compulsory school in some states .

Not forgetting the tragedy of more than two million people in prison or the freezing of salaries of soldiers in service weapons.

The country that was advertised as "champion of freedom" is already the global champion of the prison population. In the U.S., for every 100 thousand inhabitants is 730 purging in some prison sentences. The countries that follow are Belarus and Russia (with 532 prisoners per 100 thousand inhabitants) (Spain about 90 per 100 000 inhabitants) ----------------

This dramatic increase of prisoners and the business of private prisons AL GORE has much to do always involved in high level corruption:

Some observers of the country are now talking openly of imperial decline. Just take a look at this article from The New York Times ( http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/07/us/07cutbacksWEB.html ) or this other The Wall Street Journal ( http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704913304575370950363737746.html ) to understand that, across the Atlantic, something big is happening with unexpected rapidity.

The Wall Street Journal, the Bible global capitalism, has in the article mentioned the waiver pave thousands of roads in various regions of the United States because there is no money to do .

John Habermann, a professor at Purdue University, concludes that the U.S. is returning to the stone age, referring to the broken stone on which the citizens must lead the country that invented culture the car.

If Professor John Habermann, who has recently conducted a workshop entitled Back to the Stone Age (Back to the Stone Age) , dedicated precisely to the reappearance of dirt roads, exaggerates the size of the leap ago, Glenn Greenwald, Salon, and many with him, they agree on something ten years ago would have considered unthinkable to see in our lifetimes: the collapse of U.S.

At the bottom and if we measure the corruption by absolute numbers, not so much the U.S., but Washington would be by far the most corrupt place on earth.

THE TRUE FACT OF UNEMPLOYMENT - not manipulated: mid-October

Treasury Secretary and Goldman Sachs puppet Tim Geithner, gave a speech in California in backyard, or former backyard of the dispossessed of the upper middle class of Silicon Valley interviewed by 60 Minutes , which said the solution is to "educate more engineers."

engineers now have more jobs for them.

In a recent survey, a marketing and research firm, Twentysomething, established that 85% of college graduates plan to go back where their parents .

Even if members of the "boomerang generation [ for its tendency to return home to her parents, N. T. ] find jobs, they do not perform as enough to have an independent existence.

financial means are useless. The reporters repeated the lie that the unemployment rate is 9.6%. Unemployment is particularly speculations, which do not account for the majority of the unemployed. The self-government more inclusive rate is 17%. The statistician John Williams, who has unemployment in the way that should have supposedly states that the unemployment rate should be 22%.

financial press turns bad news into good news.

recently trumpeted a monthly increase of 64,000 new jobs in the private sector, jobs more than offset by the loss of jobs in government.

addition, it takes 150,000 new jobs per month to keep pace with the growth of labor. In other words 100,000 new jobs per month would represent a shortfall of 50,000 jobs.

dramatic increase in class differences :

University economist Lawrence Katz of Harvard explained the situation of Americans in the following way:

"Think of the U.S. economy as an apartment complex. a century ago - even made 30 years - was something enviable. But in the last generation has changed its character. The penthouses at the top are getting bigger. Between departments are increasingly tighter. And the basement is flooded. Finally, the elevator is broken.
The elevator out of service is what most depressed people. "

Call the select few penthouse in the new oligarchy, a small piece of the American people with enormous wealth, which accounts for a disproportionate share of the country's wealth.

are oil moguls and the media, corporate executives, hedge fund exchangers, philanthropists and members of the entertainment industry. Depending on where you draw the line is 1%, 0.1% or even 0.01% of the American population.

How did we get here? How is a predominantly middle-class nation turned into an oligarchy? Find answers to these questions in "Winner-Take-All Politics " a new and revealing book political scientist Jacob Hacker and Paul Pierson.

The authors discuss the available numbers on wealth and poverty in the U.S. as a crime scene full of clues, suspects and alibis impasses.

The culprit in the drama is the same U.S. policy in the last thirty years. Clues to understanding the emergence of a new oligarchy is not New York or New Delhi, but in the Capitol, along with Pennsylvania Avenue and K Street, the shelter in a heartless world for Washington lobbyists.

"Step by step, debate to debate," they write, "U.S. government officials have rewritten the rules of American politics and the American economy in ways that benefit the few at the expense of the many."

Since the beginning of XXI century, we are living a historical period in which United States has been giving up their most tenuous democratic proclamations.

structures through which democracy recognizing other human beings as deserving of respect, dignity and human rights have been sacrificed in the name of a style of politics and culture that became simply an extension of the war, both inside and outside the country. However

internally, and poorly conceived, punitive state has been increasingly replacing the welfare state , while a number of individuals and groups increasingly numerous populations are now considered disposable, no worthy of such safety nets and basic protections that provide the conditions for live with a sense of security and dignity.

Based on these assessments, basic social supports were replaced by an accelerated construction of prisons, by the expansion of the criminal justice system in daily life and a growing erosion of fundamental civil liberties. Sharing responsibilities gave way to fears shared, and the only distinction that seemed to resonate in the field of culture was among friends and patriots, on the one hand, and dissidents and enemies, on the other. The

state violence became not only acceptable, but returned to normal, while the government was engaged in spying its citizens, to suspend the right to habeas corpus to punish police brutality against those who questioned the power of the state to rely on the privilege of imposing state secrets to hide their crimes and also was increasingly reducing public areas designed to protect children in schools and who remodeled stores after leaving prison.

Fear altered the landscape of rights and democratic values, while desensitize a population that was more than willing to look the other way while dehumanized, imprisoned or simply discarded in a large population.

we see every day the tragic consequences of all that while the media are reporting a host of tragic stories of people losing their homes decent, more and more young people in prison, and increasing numbers beings who are forced to live in their cars in the street or in tent cities.

The New York Times offers a front-page story about young people having to leave their families devastated by the recession to homelessness, surviving often at the cost of selling their own bodies.

And the mainstream media is emerging odd news about the unspeakable horrors inflicted on children being tortured in our "death chambers" of Iraq, Cuba and Afghanistan. But the American people hardly blink.

Older Women Playing With Themselvs

FREE CULTURE. SINDE LAW. COPYRIGHT. Number 11. Wikileaks

- Free Culture?

- so made should be an aspiration for all fight. As free medicine, free housing, free newspapers and entertainment ...

- But then the pharmaceutical, entertainment, construction ...

- and publishing groups and intermediaries ...

- Do what we talk about then?

- Always economic interests. Also in this free culture. That pays benefits to companies such as Telefonica, user services and portals that control through certain multinational technology companies, telecommunications monopolies and manufacturers and sellers of technology and digital devices. But someone can be so naive to not think that behind those who stoke the culture calling for free no hidden pirates who always fish in troubled waters waving their interests? Those who today call for free-culture advocates, employers, brokers of all kinds-culture I care as much as Bush, all I want is to multiply their profits.

- And the creators?

- They are presented as the bad guys when they are in turn exploited by those who claim to defend their interests, publishers, film or music business, etc. course, the culture should be free, but that is impossible in a rotten society as we live , of \u200b\u200bcourse that should not be the public domain or nor a more or less direct heirs followed for 70 or 80 years the work of his predecessors, but neither should be the hereditary monarchy, the estates extending for centuries a handful of parasites, the ancient tributes, benefits millionaire bankers, builders, immunity from tax havens, lifetime possessions of the Church ... Time to talk about what is real, to know the reasons why we fight and flee interested demagoguery. Is the market does not impose such a totalitarian censorship for art and culture? Do newspapers, information, literary and artistic criticism are not mediated by the companies that dominate the media, with its capital, with its advertising portfolio, always serving specific and more often spurious interests?. Governs us fear, submission, advertising, global economic power, military and police, justice reactionary and archaic laws, theocracy destructive of thought and freedom. And the demagoguery, exerted mainly on young people, the most exploited by the society.

- You should know who is to rebel against. Do not be fooled, they know a lot of manipulation of fascism. And Aznar, Arenas, Cospedal above claim to speak on behalf of the poor, pensioners, the unemployed ... Enough of sarcasm and demagoguery legacy of Hitler and Mussolini in power, who then checked where these stories lead.

And the so-called law Sinde . Neither with repression and intimidation, or laws that they believe that justice works and is also justice, or blind obedience in the markets, advances, rather keep the barbarism of today called progress. But let the interests of the so-called cultural industries should be fought in unison by those who scream free culture and believe that is a road network for its consumer cravings, when accepting a drink, pay for any show, for watching football on TV, let alone by the other chapters of his life, and the creators and artists that if respect for their work and aspire to personal freedom, they should also fight. Neither speak for us name. Let's talk about Internet and culture .

"Nobody doubts the appeal of this medium of information and opinion not only for those who for their economic difficulties may find there affordable cultural products quickly or could not buy, but also for freedom of expression that can mean . But not without risks than just talking. So we seek freedom in the network, but fight the gangsters who try and control it. Because as important or more to the real creator of today or yesterday to protect their intellectual property rights is to defend against any new monopolies of information, censorship and artistic and aesthetic manipulation that may suffer under anything goes on their artistic or literary works. Gaps also contrasted the hasty law is not an open dialogue with the plurality of thought, which have little to do with the interests of Alejandro Sanz, Sabina, Perez Reverte, etc, with other names, also in this issue. And thousands of questions that could arise on these issues. Like, why are not regulated controls on works to prevent cultural looting, why they allow so-called public benefit only benefice publishers and entrepreneurs? And now they want to bring the work to the new market network, who regulates their prices, profits, which again paints the author always subject to a chain of intermediaries? And the laws are just looking for guilt in the weak. Is a bit like prostitution, illegal migration, drug trafficking, victims are persecuted and protected to the mafias that control these businesses, including entrepreneurs, large or small, operating for years, for example women and immigrants, and the authorities cooperating with them or turn a blind eye, as happens in deaths from accidents. So when it comes to prosecuting users here or on the issue of drug use, it makes you shudder at the legal repulsion or social means.

- When considering the need for monitoring to prevent it violated the work of a creator, denying the right of the payment for the use of their works, except that it voluntarily resign, and hard to imagine a society in which technical, banking, not to mention lawyers, judges, doctors, architects, would accept for the good because it is perhaps a benefit to society, while we think of the millions of euros annually now earn owners These web links which claim to offer free cultural products, products they have created. And the publicity that they generated, and the use made of data Personal Internet for other purposes?. Because they offer certain public works, then talk about blogging, they serve individuals and multinational business interests.

- Say, while intellectual property laws, as if the laws were sacred and respected as the most believers do not for example the fuck out of wedlock, are something that the publishing world is failing from their different enactments , say for example the roll control, royalty payments, fraud involving the transfer of business, the deceit and corruption of most literary prizes. And the Internet does not leave to find something similar concentrations economic elites, interests and political controls, and demagoguery to consumers.

More questions than answers.

- Much of the blame for the current situation have no doubt, as has happened in the field of construction-industry sectors have sought only profit at the expense of the book, disc, film, and talk of big business and not the exception.

- In the campaign against the rights of authors examines the helplessness of these, which are the majority, not the few dozen that dominate the media and therefore should not complain, because most developers just can edit their works, without any social security, unemployment tend to be cyclical or not continuous power or evil ends meet creations and are subject to the dictatorship of a market ideology, political and especially business, led by advertising them away from any kind of benefits.

Somehow you need a control-never on the citizens, but on businesses, their blogs, which are those who traffic in intellectual property. And also on the private copying levy that affects manufacturers, importers especially in Spain, printers, copiers, scanners, multifunction devices, and they can not charge those who use them, because you can not tell those who use legal or illegal copying, so that there are licenses to authorize reproduce works and reward their authors for any injury that causes them apart from competing demands of health care and social assistance not covered by any social security.

- It is unacceptable that the books we now refer to them-without the permission of their authors, can move freely and even transformed or adapted "to the taste or the occurrence" of that manipulation which would otherwise harmful perhaps the most grim of censorship " to any reader or just curious to appropriate them.
Nobody argues that a physicist, mathematician, sociologist, a farmer, he was not paid for their work, whether research or production. Do the creators have to be aliens from another world? Is your time, effort, his work, they should not have a price? "Only they must live on air and deliver your work for free? About the culture demanded it gratris live in a bubble of air fed only of culture, and outside there are thousands of needs that have to pay, with a difference, culture is not exploitative, it is within the leisure which is free and voluntary and multiple, and within this entertainment should not consider be free to attend a football game or a concert at Disneyland?.
- which in turn can access the internet through this medium, at least until now, to avoid censorship and ideological control and creative, literary or artistic, or simply do not politically correct and place it there, free and aprevecharse all who wish it, but sometimes it ends up being the only consumer. In the network there are possibilities beyond the tyranny of the market-hence the proliferation of literary blogs-for literary and artistic creation. The risk is that without diffusion, may be sentenced its author to the silence and solitude, shouting in a vacuum.
- There is also the problem of deterioration of language and originality of the author and helplessness before the manipulation and distortion of his work possible.
Issues and minimum first raised at a debate that should be open, because culture can not become an excuse to help bury the thought and freedom, nor resign to become an increasingly good degraded and brutish.

Exterminate the larger parasites of the planet - The "Market"

is easy to escape from the crisis "artificial": it is enough to wipe out the criminals of the FED, - those who create money from air markets, Goldman sacks ... and its tentacles:

"Indígnese", selling at 93

has had to be someone who says that age, given the scarcity of young ; even awake that might get rid of the trash-hypnotic Hollywood since birth :

The French diplomat Stéphane Hessel just published in France "Indígnese, a 30-page manuscript that has arisen as one of the most widely read books. French Resistance spy and imprisoned in a concentration camp encourages young people not to remain indifferent to the current problems.

, the economy has been given a real treat symptomatic oriented attack the causes of the ills that have . At best, you have provided some placebos or substitutes:

are falling dominoes. The Irish financial crisis reproduces the scheme which has already taken place in Greece and opens the way for those to come, in Portugal and other countries.
To pay its wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, United States has decided to monetize its debt, or bills to fit their own world.
That influx of cash allowed to devour prey capitalist elites increasingly affluent. Having looted and the Third World, can now be undertaken with the euro. However, notes Jean-Claude Paye, far from preventing them to do so, the European Central Bank, the favors at the expense of the European peoples, who imposed austerity policies.

other hand ... many good words, some more stringent regulatory standards have not been implemented and, as has happened with European claims to be aimed at putting in order the most dangerous CDS markets, the only thing they do is make it easier for banks, large speculators fortunes and return to win more money.

latter European standard seemingly dedicated to regulate investment in so-called hedge funds and therefore, they say, intended to limit the systemic risk to the economy, shows perhaps better than any other the cynicism of those who have the world in his hands.

What kind words! Except that behind them lies a tricky objective: that way it will be easier has any authority to be more generous when applying the entry criteria or authorization of activity, and as at the same time has stated that if any of these authorities approved the presence of a background, it will already "passport" to operate throughout the Union, it appears that thus making it easy is that investment funds more dangerous and more turbulence generators can operate more easily in all Europe and not under tighter control, as says.

And now comes the good part:
almost 80% of hedge funds is based in the City London (STILL INTACT THE BRITISH EMPIRE) which is also the most tolerant place to allow time to act, so what will happen will not decrease the systemic risk quite the contrary.

And while they are leaving everything to remain virtually the same must be said, quite clear that no one be deceived.
What has caused this crisis and previous ones is the generalization of speculation and maintenance of a financial system increasingly linked to clearly criminal activities .

to this is call him by his name: terror financing

few days ago, hedge funds disseminated the rumor that Portugal could not pay his debt. English banks like BBVA would be affected by this, since they are creditors of Portugal and Portuguese banks, and therefore lowered their market shares.

Speculators took the opportunity to buy cheaper . Days later, Portugal had to raise the interest rate on their bonds, and speculators were buying the bonds themselves more profitably .

BBVA shares were up and so the speculators were selling juicy margins. A great treat for them to coast in this case of the Portuguese people, but in other cases the Irish, Greek, Mexican, Argentine ... And that is simply a robbery consented.

summarize that happens to us - the mass of the measures taken by thieves:

DECREASE ELIMINATE SALARIES
STABILITY AT WORK
subordinate WORKERS STRATEGIES

DECREASE SOCIAL

While

:
banks have accumulated hundreds of billions of losses due to irresponsible behavior, then no limit to enrich their owners and managers. Have received billions of euros to cover their holes economic and legal and financial aid to cover their failures, all of which is paid by the people. That's a very well orchestrated robbery.

The super rich are constantly increasing their income and wealth just pay taxes and only workers and small and medium businesses have to provide State revenues. That's a perfectly premeditated theft.

banks and the super rich operating in tax havens hiding their profits and hiding their dirty operations of all kinds. That is theft institutionalized.

markets that require spending cuts that perform governmental focus on social rights, not those who benefit them, c omo aid to big business, military spending or subsidies for easily compete markets. This is a robbery.

towering banks charge fees, require subscribe to clauses unconscionable and customers have no choice but to accept what they impose no central banks do anything about it. This is a robbery gang.

speculators manipulating the markets and alter the price of debt to demand after the new governments to implement neoliberal policies. That is theft with premeditation.

Large companies, telephone, gas, electricity, oil ... play with business as best suits them at prices above the competition. That is theft by the handful.

The rich say there is no money to fund public pensions but say nothing of the money the government spends on supporting private pension plans are nurtured so that speculative financial funds. That is theft charged with lying and cynicism.

speculators manipulate the prices of food commodities and their price goes up into the clouds causing famine and millions of deaths. That is, as Jean Ziegler, an organized crime against humanity.

These same "markets that carry out transactions in drugs and arms trafficking and all such bodies with the help of the banks estimated - tax havens. is pure corruption

This is just a brief and incomplete financial relationship consensual crimes in our time.

are those who produce it has financial, economic, food, environmental ... and those who make the world a living hell for thousands of millions of people.

and can be avoided if the public is committed and facing a time such a shame.
